Cable drum coffee table (WIP)

We found this old electrical cable drum in a skip so we decided to make it into a coffee table!

A mahogany gloss stain was applied to the base of the drum.

The top was made from some old planks (also found in a skip!) They were cut to size with a jigsaw.

The planks were then clamped and glued to the table.

The top was then stained with an oak stain and varnished.
